Happy Gotcha Day!

120 Happy Endings!

Phelps

December 31, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Phelps!

January 3, 2009 - Phelps has had two great big days!  He had all of about 1 hour to explore the house and settle in before our guests began arriving for a low-key New Year's Eve party.  He was beyond expectations.  I've never seen a dog that has the confidence and calm demeanor that Phelps has. He took the attitude that this was his home from the moment he stepped through the door.  Phelps spent the night winning everyone over as he just wanted to love on all of our guests.  He even fell asleep in the middle of the floor at one point.  He has had no accidents in the house and appears to be housebroken (we've already established his "area" in the backyard).  He spent the entire day today with Daisy.  We played in Bruce and Dawne's backyard twice... playing fetch and just chasing each other... and went for a walk in the afternoon.  Otherwise, they laid in the family room stealing each other's chew toys.  He's staring at me right now from his new bed next to the fireplace... he's worn out!

I want to thank you again for everything you did for us.  I'm very impressed with LFS and we will take a serious look at what we can do to help with the organization (fundraising, transporting, etc.).  I've attached a picture of Phelps in his "downstairs bed" where he passed out.  I hope your New Year's plans worked out and I look forward to seeing you again.  Thanks again for everything.

March 8, 2009 - Mr. Phelps.... he is a happy dog that loves his older cat brother.  They each take turns rubbing up against each other when their paths cross.  Phelps is learning wait at doorways and doesn't bolt like he used to. We like to think tht he now knows how good he has it here  and why leave? He is so at home that when he thinks we are not looking will hop on the couch for a quick nap. After all the cat does!

Again, I can not thank you enough for taking the time to match us up perfectly. Although puppy pictures are adorable, knowing what the dog's personality and likes/ dislikes has made his assimilation to our family enjoyable.  So I hope our stories encourage older dog adoptions. We will be taking Phelps out for his first major excursion today as he now responds to commands.  I will send pics later.

Linus

December 6, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Linus!

December 7, 2008 - Linus and the boys are doing well! I don't know who is more worn out, the boys or Linus. I will update you in more detail, later in the week. In the mean time I wanted to share a few of photos with you, Linus at the dog park...

Octoboer 22, 2009 - I know it has been awhile, almost a year. But, I wanted to share some pictures of Linus and give you an update.  Well, he has come a long way since adoption last November. Though he is still playful and likes to chew stuff (boy does he like to chew!) his training has gone superbly!!! He is a gentle dog with an outstanding personality. He loves to play ball with the boys and anxiously awaits his morning walks and trips to the bus stop. He has filled out beautifully, has a glowing coat and a majestic gate! We truly love him!!!   Enjoy the pics. We are guessing he is now about 2-2 1/2 years old.

Chelsea

December 6, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Chelsea!

Bear Bryant

December 4, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Bear Bryant!

August 27, 2009 - Learning to be right at home on the boat!!

Sanibel

December 2, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Sanibel!

All decked out in their Christmas collars, just waiting on Santa!!!

January 27, 2009 - All the pups are good, I am attaching a pic of Sanibel.  She is supporting  the fight for breast cancer. All is well with all the S's.  They are all getting more spoiled by the day.  We were in Georgia this weekend.  Sanibel was sooo happy to see Sierra and Sam.  Sanibel has not learned to tear up a toy.  Carlyn was happy that she would just play with them and walk around with one in her mouth.  Sam and Sierra showed her what really should be done with the toys.

Butterscotch

November 23, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Butterscotch!

Edward

November 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Edward!

November 17, 2008 - He's doing great!  He's such a sweet dog.  He didn't sleep too well last night and cried a lot but we expected that.  We hope he has a better night tonight.  We've changed his name to Cody.  He's been doing great with the potty training and the kids just absolutely love him.  We are very happy.  Thank you so much!  We will check in soon

Maggie

November 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Maggie!

Batman

November 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Batman!

November 16, 2008 - He is doing really well - definitely not so shy anymore :) Our kids take him on walks about once an hour - they are just over the moon with him! We are still working to get him on a regular sleeping routine (he wanted to play with our 9 year old lab last night around 2:30am - she wasn't very happy about it!). He is not a huge fan of the crate, but getting better each time he goes in. I have to say that he is the sweetest and gentlest 7 month old lab I've seen! When he engages our older lab in play - it is so sweet and he takes cues from her very well - really knows when to back down and take breaks. I don't want to jinx myself, but he appears to be totally house trained - no accidents so far - knock on wood.... I'll send some pictures and updates in the next few days.

Thanks again for all your help on Saturday. LFS is so well run and organized - we appreciated your ability to steer us right to the dogs that would be good matches for us. Batman has been a great addition to our family!

Esme

November 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Esme!

November 17, 2008 - She's doing so well! She loves playing in the backyard and has been very good about making mistakes in the house. I couldn't be happier with her, as she has been so good and an absolute joy to be around.  I have also started to call her Barley. Hopefully she'll begin to respond. Thank you so much for everything!

January 8, 2009 – I just wanted to drop a quick line to you to say hello and let you know how Barley (formerly known as Esme) is doing, now that she is all settled in to her new home. Currently, she is 32 lbs. and getting taller by the day. She loves her daily walks and has become very fond of several of her chew toys, especially her favorite rubber gorilla. She is such a quick learner and is so smart. She's picked up sit, shake, stay and come without any problems.  She has been an angel and I feel so lucky to have adopted such a sweet and wonderful dog. I have attached some pictures. I hope you enjoy.  Thank you so much.

March 15, 2009 - Barley (formerly known as Esme) is doing great! She's just about all recovered from her operation and getting back into full force puppy mode. She's currently just under 50 lbs. and around 22-23" tall, with some room to grow. I have included some recent pictures.

Alice

November 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Alice!

November 19, 2008 - Thank you so much.  Alice is a sweetheart.  She is so well behaved and loving.  We are having a fantastic time with her.  My daughter absolutely loves her.  Alice (now named Daisy) is already retrieving balls and having so much fun playing and cuddling with her new family.  She is fitting in to her new home just great.  Thank you for everything!

July 28, 2009 - Just wanted to let you know that Daisy (formerly known as Alice) is doing great!  She's sweet, gentle and loving.  We learned this summer that Daisy loves to swim and loves the water.  She's been great fun!  Thanks!

Rosalie

November 8, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Rosalie!

November 11, 2008 - Miss Rosalie is doing awesome!  She loves to play fetch and have her little tummy rubbed and has only had one little accident so far!  She has been great about letting us know when she needs to go outside.  She was a little bit scared of the front steps at first but now she is bounding right up and down.

At night we have been putting her in her kennel and she barks and whines for about 5 or 10 minutes, some times longer then sleeps for around 2 hours at a time once she stops.  She wakes up and lets us know that it is time to go outside again. It will be great when she can make it through most of the night.  She seems to catch on very quickly so I am sure that it won’t be long.

Cullen

November 8, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Cullen!

November 11, 2008 - Sorry I did not get back to you sooner.  Mr. Cullen is doing really well.  He has a sweetness about him.   He has only had one accident, that's pretty amazing since he is just a puppy.  He loves going into the backyard and exploring.  The kids are fighting over who can hold him.  Also Ginger was a little nervous around him but she is starting to warm up to him.   We hope to make it to the reunion on Saturday so he can visit with his friends.  Thanks for everything.

Rena

November 8, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Rena!

November 11, 2008 - Hi!  Rena is doing great!  We have named her Georgia....the name came from my youngest son, he just started calling her that and it fits nicely.  She has been eating pretty well and has been doing well going to the bathroom outside.  Her favorite shoes are a pair of Brian's slippers...I am thinking we may need to get her some for Christmas. :)

They have been doing well together.  Georgia has started instigating the play, and they enjoy chasing each other around the house.  We plan on coming out Saturday with both dogs.  See you soon!

Luca

November 8, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Luca!

December 6, 2008 - Luca just stopped by to say hello with his new family!

Pumpkin

November 1, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Pumpkin!

November 1, 2008 - I want to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Mr. Pumpkin Boy.  Pumpkin has been my "Foster" since March when we picked him up at Pet Spa in Cumming where he  was recuperating from  having ingested some antifreeze which of course did a little damage to his kidneys.  He became such an easy member of our family, no problems whatsoever and fit in perfectly.  He is absolutely maintenance free, no chewing, plays very well with my 2 labbie girls and was already housebroken.

The longer he stayed with us and did not get adopted because people were afraid of his "kidney problem" the easier it was to see he really belonged with us.  When he went in for his annual checkup and received a clean bill of health, we decided we weren't going to take the chance of someone else pulling him out of our little family as it would have been just too traumatic not only for him but for the rest of us.  November 1 was the official day of his name change from "foster" to  Radcliff.

Please pass his story on to your friends and let them know there are such loving little 4 footed friends out there that need a forever home and will return the love you give them many times over.

Paco

October 18, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Paco!

October 21, 2008 - Paco has been a part of our family since Saturday, and it has been a blessing.  Our other dog, Brandi, was a pound puppy, and we feel she'd been abused and abandoned.  She was terrified to be by herself and wouldn't play at all.  Since Paco arrived, she has visibly relaxed, now plays both by herself and with Paco, and is content to be in her crate, right next to his crate, while we are gone.  Paco is a delightful boy, and is learning to walk on a leash without pulling, take treats like a gentleman, and has mastered 'Sit' - at least, most of the time.  He has a wonderfully sunny disposition, and is delighted with life.  He loves his squeaky toys, and will entertain himself for hours with one.  We are all reaping the benefit of getting out and walking 2 to 3 miles each day (usually broken up into two or three long walks and one or two short ones).  Paco has been a wonderful addition to the family, and we're so glad to have him.  :-)

Star

October 18, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Star!

October 21, 2008 -  Sophia (formerly known as Star) made the long trip home like a trooper and seems to be settling in . We absolutely love her. Thanks so much for such a wonderful addition to our family.

Fripp

October 18, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Fripp!

October 21, 2008 - Everything is going great!  Fripp is laying here beside me right now.  He and Neligh have been running non-stop today.  We changed his name, so his new name is Hudson but we are going to keep Fripp as his middle name.  He has settled in well.  No messes in the houses so far, sleeps through the night, and his chewing isn't too bad.  I have included a few pictures of Hudson.  Hope you are having a wonderful day!  Thank You.

Emme

October 11, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Emme!

October 13, 2008 - We want to thank you for working with us, and helping us to find a new "forever" family member in Emme.  Labrador Friends of the South is truly an exceptional organization, and because of the professionalism and dedication of your volunteers, you are really making a difference to labs who need help, and families who need a lab!

Emme is doing great - I have to admit, we have been calling her Emma and will probably keep that as her name.  She is really settling in and her antics are adorable.  Yesterday, she and Hudson had a ball hanging out with "dad" and assisting with yard work.  It makes us feel great to see her so relaxed and happy in our home.

April 3, 2009 - I was just outside taking some pictures of Emma and Hudson and wanted to send them to you.  They’ve been stretched out on the deck this afternoon enjoying the breezy weather.  Emma is doing great and we just love her so much.  She and Hudson are the best of friends and they are wonderful together – they always sleep like this, side by side.  Emma has grown and is really coming into her own – she has the greatest personality and has some cute hound-y traits.  She has treed numerous squirrels in the backyard and it’s a riot to watch her.  She’s very athletic and has me walking at least a mile a day!  She’s a real snuggler, too, and helps herself up onto our bed in the early morning to before we all have to wake up.  We will definitely bring them by sometime when you do an adoption at the Pet Basket so you can see her. Take care, and thanks again.

Tybee

October 4, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Tybee!

October 7, 2008 - She is wonderful!!! No accidents in the house, learning fetch, sleeping until about 6 am in her "house", sits on command VERY well....starts puppy school next weekend! We absolutely love her!!

October 14, 2008 - Wanted to send you some new pictures of Miss Breslin during her first week at her new home.  She's doing GREAT!  You can definitely tell she has gotten bigger even in a week and with the size has come MUCH more energy, which we are happy to entertain.  She loves to play outside, we are teaching her fetch, and even with bigger size still loves to cuddle.  We are so enjoying her, she has already brought so much joy and fun into our lives.  Thanks!

January 14, 2009 - I didn't know if you would want more recent pictures of Breslin.  She is doing WONDERFUL!!  I never knew I could love her this much. Thanks!

Pawley

October 4, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Pawley!

October 8, 2008 - Pawley is doing good!  We renamed her "Dixie".  Though sometimes I call her Miss Wiggles because she gets so excited and wiggley when I come home from work.  She has just had 2 accidents in the house... we're trying to get her on a schedule now that she is having to get used to not using a doggie door.  She is in her crate at night and when we are at work.  We get up once in the middle of the night to walk her and my husband comes home at lunch to take her out.  She was kind of shy and tired her first 2 days but, we are seeing her true playful puppy personality now!  I will email some pictures to you soon.

December 9, 2008 - Just wanted to send you Dixie's picture with Santa. She has grown so much over the past 2 months!  We are very thankful to have her.

June 6, 2009 Dixie (formerly known as Pawley) is a good “big sister” to our newborn daughter!

Woody

September 20, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Woody!

Blondie

September 20, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Blondie!

September 30, 2008 - Just a few words on Champ’s (formerly known as Blondie) progress. He and the cats are just now getting to know what to expect from one another. Champ is adjusting well with his new surroundings and I just love having him around to welcome us home from along day at work!! Tell his adoptive parents not to worry he is excepting every command and is very easy to train. We are so glad to have as part of our family.  Thank You so Much!!!!!!!!!!

Todd

September 20, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Todd!

September 21, 2008 - As proud new owners, we have taken many pictures already. You can pick the best for the website. We are smitten with the unnamed 'Puppy'. Hopefully the four of us can agree on a name other than puppy, it or her (even though he's a him but our other dog is a female ;)  Thanks for your help.

March 21, 2009 - See how handsome I've become!!

Shawna

September 18, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Shawna!

September 20, 2008 - Kobe and Shawna seem like they want to play but haven't quite figured each other out yet.  Kobe barks at her and that startles her right now.  Shawna slept through the night (in her crate) after a few minutes of whining.  One little pee accident in the house (on a rug) but she's been going outside the rest of the time.

Misty May

September 14, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Misty May!

Yea, she picked me!  I love my new mommy!

September 15, 2008 - Josie (formerly known as Misty May) is such a great dog!  She is so smart and attentive!  We did learn last night that we will need to keep her crate in the bedroom because she didn't like being in the crate and not being able to see anyone.  She fell asleep in the crate in the living room last night when we were sitting on the sofa, but then woke up at 3am.  I slept on the sofa the rest of the morning so she could see me (because I wasn't about to try to carry the crate upstairs in the middle of the night), but today I'll get her another crate that I can keep in the bedroom.  So she is fine in the crate as long as she can see us.  She does LOVE her bed, which is a cat bed that they don't use anymore.  I attached a photo of her passed out in it.  I also attached a photo of her sitting because although she doesn't know the verbal command "sit" yet, she is catching on that we get excited and she gets praise when she sits.  Man, she's smart!   And I just can't believe how attentive she is!  She is my little puppy shadow around the house!  I'm sure that might change a bit when her brother comes home, but that's OK.  I'm just glad she seems so happy with us!I will be going home at noon to be with her the rest of the day and I can't wait!  She is so great and we really love her!  Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!  We can so tell that she was nurtured while she is with you!  So thank you so much!

February 15, 2009 - We are long overdue on sending you recent photos of Josie (formerly known as Misty May).  She's such a great girl!  She's really smart, loves to play, and is the biggest cuddle bug!  She sleeps under the bed covers at night! I attached some cute recent shots of her so you can see how big and happy she is.  She is about 37 pounds now and so healthy.  Everyone always marvels over her gorgeous, shiny fur.  In the attached pictures you can see her hanging out in some of her favorite places, with some of her friends, on her first hike last Fall, and there is one with a message for you guys.  :)

Josie is really well trained now and has mellowed out a little since getting spayed, and so we are starting to think she might be ready for a brother or a sister.  She LOVES other dogs and gets so excited when she sees them, so I think she would be happy having someone to play with every day.

We hope you are doing well!  When people gush over how sweet Josie is we tell them that she had the best foster family to get her life started out right!

Tiger Lily

September 12, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Tiger Lily!

September 13, 2008 - Tilly had a great first night!  She went for walk last night and seemed to really enjoy it.  This morning when we got up (this is funny) – she was lying on the couch with her head on a pillow – LOL.  I guess she is making her place!!!!  This morning she ate her breakfast and got another walk.  We have learned already that she seems to NOT like little breeds of dogs – she lunged at and went for a bichon last night and a terrier this am.  She happily wagged her tail at all large breeds!  Zachary sat down beside her last night and was petting her….telling her "you will be my new best friend"….mommy tears here.  Then kept asking "What's her name again?"  Zachary also "upset" that she has not barked yet - "When is she going to talk?"  No barking as of yet……. She will go today with us to Pet Smart for her first Shopping Spree…..will keep you updated!  Thanks so much!   She just "talked"!  She laying at the front door, "watching the world go by", and the neighbor's retriever came in the yard…..I don't think Miss Tango will be doing her "business" in our yard anymore…….

September 17, 2008 - Just wanted to update you on Tilly.  She is such a wonderful, sweet girl – I don't know how anyone could of let her stray….  She still is finding her favorite her place to be our couch (even though we bought her a bed) – which is fine as it is the only "naughty" thing I think she will ever do!  It is so great to see her sweet face and wagging tail when you come in the door.  And seems to understand when you are leaving….just sits and does not try to get out.  She REALLY enjoys her am and pm walks and gets so excited when I go for the leash!!!!  So funny to see her "go after" a little dog!  (and cats!)  She is so protective of the kids already too.  When we are walking and they lag behind, she will actually stop and wait for them to catch up!  She likes to look out the front window and is quite the guard dog!  I feel safe, even walking with her at dusk.  Her favorite toy is a squeaky tube that the kids love to throw to her.  They are just AMAZED how she can jump in the air to catch it!  "We have a trick dog Mom!"  She is just great!  I think George is a little jealous that she seems to "stick" to me, more than to him, but hey, she had Mandy Mom for a long time, so she is used to us girls!!!!  Will keep you updated!!!

Hutton

September 6, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Hutton!

September 8, 2008 - Hutton is doing great!!  He was very tired when we got home on Saturday and pretty much slept the whole day (See attached pictures).  Yesterday he explored everything with Cocoa, got a bath and went on a walk.  He is very good on the leash.  He sleeps all night (in the bed with Ryan) and has not had any accidents in the house.   I will send some more pictures soon.   Thank you for Hutton!!

Jake

September 6, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Jake!

September 7, 2008 - Jake is doing just great! He and my cats are still getting used to one another, but after a little bit of initial barking, they mostly just keep a watchful eye on one another. He slept fine last night and seems to be settling in to the house well - if I'm around, he's usually right next to me.  I'll keep you posted on how he's doing - thanks for such a sweet puppy!

Melissa

August 29, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Melissa!

August 30, 2008 - She's doing surprisingly well.  Slept all night in her crate which I never thought would happen.  We'll take a couple of pictures and I'll send an official update later this weekend.  After much debate, she is now "Gracie" and I think it suits her.

September 2, 2008 - After settling in for the long weekend, Gracie is doing great.  She likes to help carry her leash whenever it's time to go outside.  Her favorite spot in the house is any air conditioning vent she can lay on and sleep.  She does get a little nervous when the other dogs in the neighborhood bark but we think that'll go away once she's actually out and about. Right now, she loves sitting in the backyard watching the kids play baseball.  I've attached a couple of pictures from her first weekend at home.

Mack

August 23, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Mack!

September 22, 2008 - He is doing great.  He is a really well behaved sweet boy- housebroken, listens really well, comes when called, and likes to play.  He is  really laid back and definitely a keeper.   We love him.   Thank you so much for finding him for us!

Queenie

August 23, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Queenie!

August 25, 2008 – Queenie is doing great.  Her appetite is good and she seems to be settling into her new home.  Our grandchildren were over today and she was so happy to see them.  We just love her.  I forgot to tell you, we changed her name to Molly.

November 5, 2008 – Hi, just wanted to update you on Molly (formerly known as Queenie).  She is doing great.  We love having her in our family, she is so so sweet.  She is playing ball, going for walks everyday and loves to go for car rides.  We love her dearly, thank you for letting us adopt her.

April 6, 2009 - Sorry I have taken so long to send pictures, but I have finally learned how to do it. Molly is a wonderful dog; she is a treasure, she is so!!!!! sweet, she gets along with kids, dogs and our cat. We could not ask for more. She loves playing with her toys and likes playing ball ( of course we do spoil her, can't help it ) we love her. I will send more pictures as time goes by.

Musso

August 16, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Musso!

August 29, 2008 - What an awesome dog he is!  We are so lucky and blessed to have found him!   He made himself right at home immediately – it is almost like he has always been here with us.   He is such a sweet boy, always having to be laying somewhere close to us (oops – here he comes to hang out with me in the office) – it really is amazing how easy it has been.  He sleeps in our room with Abby (our yellow lab) and our two cats.  Between my husband and our four furry children, the amount of snoring at night is unreal!  Moose (as my two year old calls him) is on a diet – and doing very well – he LOVES frozen green beans mixed with his food.  We hope between a better diet and some serious walking, he will shed about 10 to 15 lbs.  Thank you again for your help.  We love him dearly.

Roscoe

August 10, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Roscoe!

September 10, 2008 - He's learning self control (with my small dog - I think he sees her as a walking chew toy) and the "down" command at the moment - he already knows "sit" and "drop it".  He loves his toys and tennis balls...and there isn't an empty water bottle out there that he doesn't carry around.  He's a smart and loving boy with a precocious nose - he loves to counter surf!  He is just a puppy and we work to remember that every day, despite the size of his feet!!  We love having him in the family.

Gabby

August 9, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Gabby!

August 11, 2008 - Here are a couple of pictures from the first day.  We absolutely love her, she is just so sweet and well behaved, thanks again.

Annabelle

August 2, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Annabelle!

Storm

July 26, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Storm!

July 30, 2008 - Storm, now known as Jax is doing great. He is a wonderful, loving and playful happy dog. He follows his new sister, Lainey almost every where. Lainey loves having a brother. The first few days with us were a breeze, no accidents, no messes and he bonded to us instantly. We couldn't have hoped for a better dog and companion. Jax loves playing in the yard, grabbing sticks and chasing Lainey. He is definitely a cuddler.  Jax loves any attention you give him. We are teaching him to walk on a leash - he just gets so excited and loves to pull. But when Lainey is beside him, he seems to do better. Thank you for taking the time to find the perfect dog for us and such a great companion for Lainey.

August 9, 2008 - Everyone is doing great!!! We couldn't have asked for a better family!!! Jax still follows Lainey and we think she loves it. We actually had my 6 year old niece over today and he just loved on her!!! It was sweet.  Here are some pictures.  Thanks again.

December 12, 2009 - Jax and Lainey came to visit at the annual Christmas party.

Paisley

July 19, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Paisley!

Venardi and Sabato

July 18, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Venardi and Sabato!

July 22, 2008 - Gryphon and Digby (formerly known as Venardi and Saberto) are doing great!  They are the sweetest, most lovable pups.  They are very playful and inquisitive and smart!  They pick things up really quickly - like leash walking & fetching; we're still working on the potty training, but so far it has been going pretty well.  Digby is definitely the more outgoing of the two - she is the headstrong big sister.  She is not afraid to try anything - she mastered the steep flight of stairs into my condo by the second time she tried it.  The first day, it must have seemed pretty daunting to them, so I carried them up, but you should see the two of them bound up the stairs now - it's like a race!  She is curious and can figure things out quickly.  She loves the Kong ball and will push it around the house trying to nose out the treats.  She's also infatuated with ice cubes and chasing after sticks.  She runs after them, he brings them back!  Gryphon is a little more timid about trying new things and sometimes he's a little skittish, but if Digby tries something, he is not too far behind.  He tuckers out faster, but then he'll get a burst of energy and go tearing around!  He likes the chew toys best and they both love getting under things - like low benches and chairs - and surveying the landscape from there.

They are WONDERFUL in the crate.  It is in my Kitchen and when I put them in at night, they barely make a peep and go right to sleep.  Last night they were quiet for 8 hours straight!  I take them out to Candler Park on the soccer field every morning for about an hour and they just run and play and wear themselves out!  They are so entertaining to watch.  They seem really happy and I feel like we are bonding now - they follow me around a lot, but maybe that's just because they know I have the treats!  They are such sweet and lovable puppies and I think they're really happy to be settling into their forever home!

October 3, 2008 - I took some really good photos of Digby and Gryphon the weekend before last.  Thought you might like to see how big they've gotten.  On Sunday, Gryphon weighed 41 pounds and Digby weiged 37!

I just started Obedience Training with Gryphon last night - he did very well.  We're taking them at Jabula in Decatur and I'm hoping to be able to use the knowledge that I gain at home on Digby.  If I feel like she needs more than that, I'll bring her to another session.  Hope you are doing well.

Ruby

June 25, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Ruby!

July 15, 2008 - Ruby girl is doing great!!!  She has really seemed to adjust to being here and we enjoy having her.  Still working on the potty thing.  I have learned that she doesn't like the rain and thunder--she freaks out and paces.  She still is my shadow and gets a little panic attack going when I get out of her sight (she is so funny).  She loves to play ball (run and catch it) but doesn't want to give it back.  Back and butt scratches seem to excite her and she starts running around like a nut!  The house isn't so quiet anymore and that is a good thing!  We dearly miss our brown boy and Ruby seems to make things better.

Wiley

June 21, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Wiley!

Ready to run........

October 29, 2008 - He doing fine.  He is definitely an indoor dog, doesn't like rain or the cold.  He loves hanging with the boys and they love having him around.  I'll send photos soon, I don't have any with me today at work.

Lucky

June 21, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Lucky!

June 26, 2008 - Last Saturday, I adopted Lucky, one of the chocolate labs.  At first, he seemed uncomfortable due to missing his foster parent and not being used to his surroundings.  However, it has been close to a week and he has really started to settle in well.  He and my other dog, Bailey play with each other and keep aware of each others "space".  Lucky is so cute.  He bounces up and down like a car on hydraulics when I grab the leash to take him outside.  Everywhere I go, he goes along with me.  He's become my chocolate shadow : )

I have always wanted a Chocolate Labrador since being a teenager and I finally brought one home.  Lucky has been one of the best investments in my adult life, along with my other adopted baby (Bailey, a basset/beagle mix).

Teeny

June 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Teeny!

Dooley

June 8, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Dooley!

June 10, 2008 - We just wanted to send you an update on Dooley.  We decided to change his name to Harley, he responds to his new name very well.  He is the perfect addition to our family.  Harley has been doing well here and loves to play with the tennis ball in the backyard!  Shelby loves having a new labbie brother to run around the yard and play with.  It's been such a pleasure to walk both dogs together each morning.  He really does well on a leash.  We took Harley to Dr. Adams yesterday and had his staples removed.  Dr. Adams says he looks great.  The entire staff fell in love with him.  His personality is unbeatable.  We have had so much fun these past few days bringing Harley home and making him a part of our family.  Thanks for all your help and support.

Eddie

June 7, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Eddie!

October 24, 2008  - Well I think Eddie finally knows he is in his FOREVER HOME.  He has conquered the last few unchartered territories in our household.  He no longer sleeps only on the floor but feels free leaving black hair on the couch, beds, futon and all pieces of furniture.  Eddie no longer tiptoes across the threshold of the bathrooms but now races Lucky across the tile to the toilet to see who gets the first drink (ugh!).  However, he has not yet joined Lucky in the jetted tub!  And FINALLY, Eddie runs to the car at the sound of "car ride" and has even wrestled Lucky for a ride in the passenger seat.  The other day I was unloading groceries and found Eddie sitting in the back seat wondering where we were going next.  He is particularly fond of the soccer park:-) Welcome home, Eddie!  We love you!   As I write Eddie and Lucky are curled up butt to butt on the futon next to me in the office.  They are so precious.  I love coming home to them every day. I hope you enjoy the pics.  Lucky is just so beautiful that I had to include her in photo 2217.  She was rescued from Hwy 211 in Winder by a co-worker.  Hard to believe she was a stray.  They are both featured in photos 2219 and 2223.  In the latter it looks like she is whispering in Eddie's ear.  I often wonder what they say to each other,  ha ha.

Ivy

June 7, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Ivy!

June 18. 2008 - A quick update on our new puppy, the family has finally decided on a name, not my favorite but I was out voted.  So Bentley Maxon is official since she has had her first vet appointment.  I took her in yesterday and they gave her a couple more shots and checked her for worms.  No parasites, and she had her first heartworm pill.  My vet thinks she is pretty close to pure breed and she will get the average size of a lab.  She is guessing her age to be about 14 or 15 weeks.  She has lost 2 of her front teeth.  I wish I could get more pictures of her but she moves every time I take the camera out.  She is so sweet, and close to potty trained already.!  My Bear is being very tolerant and kind to her even letting her have her bed and toys.  I never thought that would happen so it really is nice to see.  My daughter, son and husband are falling in love with her as I am so all is well.

November 13, 2008 - Bentley is doing really well, she has been to 2 sessions of dog training with Susie Aga and she is listening pretty well.  She loves everybody and everything and has plenty of energy.  Some of her favorites things are the dog park, chasing the ball and water, water , water.

She is definitely a joy to have around and she has many friends.

Tennessee

May 23, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Tennessee!

May 23. 2008 - They are doing great!!! We are enjoying Tennessee so much and I think Toby is as well! They get to go out and run and play ball at least 4 times a day! Everyone wants to play with them. He is already part of the family! Thanks again for you all you do for these dogs, you are a true blessing!

September 10, 2008 - Tennessee is the best dog ever. We are still thrilled and truly in denial that he is ours! He is so obedient and very well mannered! We let him go out side with us and he stays right by our side! He loves his big sister Toby as they play all the time together, a little wrestling mixed in with snuggling! It is great! TN. favorite activity is swimming, we had to go out and buy him his own little doggie pool because when the kids played in theirs, he would jump right in with them! That made for some dirty water!

Again, I cant thank you enough for letting us adopt him, he is awesome!!!

Jasper

May 10, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Jasper!

May 12, 2008 -  He is fitting in perfectly.  He is very well behaved.  I think he makes Jade a few years younger. Thanks so much!

Ronde

May 8, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Ronde!

June 12, 2008 - Buddy (formerly known as Ronde) is 50 lbs.  We're working with the trainer and he's doing really well.  The one thing we need to work hard on is for him to come when he's called.  He is so lovable and sweet.  And a really good dog companion for us.  One question.  Did he sleep with you in the bed?  Maybe I've asked this question before and forget the answer.  He jumped right in the bed the first night and he's slept there every night since.  Which is fine with us.  He tends to sleep up against my legs and puts his paw and/or head on my legs.  He's better in the crate.  He still tears up the towels and sheets but not as bad as he used to.  We're still hoping that when he grows out of puppyhood (another 1 1/2 years!!!) we can get rid of the crate.  But we are so happy with him.  We have decided to stay in the house we're in so he has a much bigger backyard.

Santana and Adonis

April 26, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Santana and Adonis!

SamSam (Dylan)

April 26, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, SamSam (Dylan)!

Kipper

April 19, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Kipper!

Guiness

April 12, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Guiness!

April 15, 2008 - Guinness is doing well and fitting in as if he's lived here all his life.  He takes after the other boys and is even using the dog doors.  He plays hard with Oliver our 4 year old but he really takes after Fletch our other black lab and the alpha.  He's wearing himself out during the day and is ready for bed around 8 or 9pm and sleeps until morning without needing to get up.  He also hasn't had the first "accident" in the house.  I'll keep you updated.

April 30, 2008 - Guinness is doing very well.  He decided to become a squirrel hunter and has already brought us a squirrel "gift".  He's going in next week to get fixed but he doesn't know it yet.  Attached is a picture of him with Fletch who acts like his father instead of brother.  The next time Debbie is home when you're having an adoption day we'll bring him up to see everybody.

May 25, 2008 - Guinness is doing well and might need to put his name on the mortgage because he thinks he owns the house.  He got neutered last Thursday (15th) and gets his stitches out Tuesday.  I don't even think he noticed anything happened.  He's got two nice incisions because they had to go looking for his other testicle but there we no issues with the procedure at all.  Surprisingly, I've had no problem with him licking the cuts so he hasn't been relegated to wearing the "cone of shame".  He's gotten into the sleeping, eating, playing routine that the other guys are on and he's also starting to respect the other guys food, treats, etc.  Next up will be obedience school.

Calypso

April 12, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Calypso!

June 2008 - See how beautiful I am today!

Sugar

April 12, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Sugar!

April 14, 2008 - Just wanted to give an update on little Sugar.  Oscar and I renamed her Leela and she's the absolute new love of our lives!  We brought her to meet both of our parents, and they all loved her, too.  We've never been so popular at PetsMart, either!  Everyone wanted to come up and see the little lady.  The trip tuckered her out though, as you can see, she fell asleep in the cart.  While there, we met another employee that works at the Towne Lake Animal Hospital, so I know everyone will be excited to see her during her next check-up.
She had a little separation anxiety the first two nights so far, but we knew that going in to getting a younger puppy.  We signed up for puppy training classes and our first class is this Saturday, the 19th.  We're excited and anxious to start training with her.  :)
Thank you so much for the opportunity to adopt such a sweet little girl!  We'll send updates and more pictures as she grows
!

Buckley

April 12, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Buckley!

May 6, 2008 - I wanted to give you an update on Buckley ( the yellow male pup  we adopted )  He is Three months old  and doing great!! He loves the kids and playing fetch.  He sleeps through the night and is just such a great fit for our family.   The vet said he is healthy and beautiful! No one can believe he was a rescue dog because he looks like the lab in the commercials.    Anyway, I could go on and on about my dog all day but suffice it to say that he is doing great and we love him.  Thanks LFS  !!!

Snow

April 9, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Snow!

April 9. 2008 - I just wanted to let you know that we’re doing great.  The whole ride home Snow and Reina slowly and quietly and constantly changed places, seat to floor to seat to floor.  When we got home I let Reina off her leash in the backyard but kept Snow on hers to take her to the far end of the yard to go potty and sniff around.  The yard isn’t so huge, but by the time we got to the far corner Snow had perked up and was sniffing around with interest and stopped to pee and loosened her tightly-wound tail a little bit.  When we got inside I fed Reina; she ate and then went away and Snow finished off her food.  I came into my office and left Snow to make herself comfortable.  After a half hour or so I went to find her – she was comfortably ensconced on the living room sofa, happy as she could be.  I brought her back into the office with Reina and me – they are both now sound asleep, one in each of the two big dog beds I have in here.  And the very first thing I did when I came in the house was shut my bedroom door, the beginning of dog-free breathing space!  So we are off to a good start.  I feel really good about having Snow in our family.  Thank you for your help in making this possible.

Cinnamon

March 29, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Cinnamon!

Aphrodite

March 29, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Aprhodite!

April 2, 2008 - Aphrodite is doing great, I think we've settled on Gretchen for her new name.  The girls are spending most of their time stealing toys from each other.  Somehow the other dog always has the more attractive item:)  She seems to be adjusting very well, we can tell her foster home did a great job laying the foundation.  Thanks!

Athena

March 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Athena!

August 11, 2008 - She's good ~ these pics are before and after a trip to the lake...the difference between wide awake and really annoyed at me and my camera was several hours of romping and munching on pine cones...she is SO full of energy!

Pandora

March 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Pandora!

September 7, 2008 – Annie (formerly known as Pandora) is going great.  She just had her sixth training class today at Petsmart.  She has learned to sit, lie down, stay, leave it and drop it.  The latter two commands still need a bit of work but all and all, she is GREAT dog.  Attached are a few pictures of Annie.  It's hard to believe that she was 7 mos. old last Friday.

Orion

March 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Orion!

Mugsey

March 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Mugsey!

March 16, 2008 - Gunner (formerly known as Mugsey) is doing great (we're keeping that name).  Slept through the night, no accidents thus far.  He still hates the leash and stairs, but we'll work on that.  See picture attached just taken on his new bed.

June 17, 2008 - He's getting VERY big.  At just over 7 months, he's easily 75 lbs or better.  He is even tempered, niether dominate or submissive and is instinctively gentle with kids and smaller dogs.  He loves our daily walks and/or bike rides together and also loves finding the random stick, or I should say tree-limb to chew on from our woods.  He spends most of the day sleeping under my desk while I work.  See attached for some recent pictures.

Lisa

March 15, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Lisa!

August 24, 2008 - Hi everyone. I thought I share a few more pictures of Lisa. I met her today and she is such a big and happy girl. You can see her in the pictures with her "partner in crime", her human little brother, and her parents. You can see how happy she is.

Malcolm

March 12, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Malcolm!

March 18, 2008 - Here are a couple pictures of Murphy (I changed his name again...I think he likes it better haha)  He is being such a fantastic little doggie.  He gets along with Macie, they love to wrestle and play tug with their toys.  He is also quite the swimmer!  I took him out to the park and threw the tennis ball into the water and he did a huge belly flop into the water and swam out to get it.  He's precious!

August 30, 2008 - Macie (formerly Ebony) & Murphy (formerly Malcolm) are both doing great and love having a new backyard to explore. They love to wrestle with each other and Macie has a habit of pinning Murphy by sitting on him. They're such sweet puppies and we couldn't be happier with them.

Salsa

March 6, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Salsa!

Jet

March 1, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Jet!

March 7, 2008 - Everything is great!  Jet is such a great dog.  He's starting to pick up on some commands and has come out of his shell.  He's a great pup and has quickly become part of the family.  I was out late at a meeting last night and Jet had trouble going to bed because he was looking for me.  My wife has taken some pictures with our good camera and we'll try to get you a good update for the web with a good picture.  He really is doing wonderfully and we are so happy with him.

November 11, 2008 - Jet is doing well and we could not be happier with him.  We tell everyone how great adopting is !  Jet now weighs 75 pounds! He has come a long way! He loves to run with me around the farm and loves swimming in the lake.  He has learned  to ride in the back of the truck around the farm and seems to really enjoy it!  He climbs the stairs into Jay's tree house and hangs out in there with the guys!  He is a great addition to our family!  He is also a really good football player!

Mater

February 27, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Mater!

February 28, 2008 - He is doing wonderful.  We are calling him Bear and he seems to like it.  It is amazing how he just moved right in.  Him and Sarah (our female lab) have already bonded and they play and hang out all day.  He is very well behaved and listens well too.  We took him and Sarah on a walk yesterday and after about 5 minutes of work he did great.  He was actually better than Sarah.  He smiles and wiggles all over when we tell him what a good boy he is!!  He just loves to hear that!!  Yesterday he was chasing birds in the back yard.  It was the first time we heard him bark.  We have been watching him closely when he is outside but so far he does not seem to want to get out of the fence.  He and Sarah mostly lay on the back porch in the sun and the chase each other around the yard.  When they get tired of being out they come to the door together and ask to be let back in.  He loves the indoor/outdoor option!!  His favorite thing to do when he comes back in is to get a big drink of water and then come put his head in your lap.  He just looks at you like "What??"  He really has so much personality!!  Sarah seems happy to have a friend again, too!!  Thank you so much for this wonderful dog!!

Millie Chocolate

February 27, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Millie Chocolate!

Christmas 2008

January 6, 2009 - I hope you had wonderful holidays!  Here is Millie with 2 of her Christmas presents.  Enjoy!

April 15, 2009 - So we just got back from Port St Joe with the dogs.  Dog friendly beach.  Millie had a ball.  The first day we were able to let them run without leashes and they came when we called them.  By day three they wouldn't listen and kept chasing the birds so we had to put the leashes on.  This was day three.

Chance

February 16, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Chance!

March 1, 2008 - Hi, I just wanted to let you know how well Chance is doing. I had him at the vet yesterday, and his tail looks really good. We wrapped it again and are going to wait 2 more weeks and then try it without a wrap. Hopefully it won't break open. He is still gaining weight and is doing great in training. I took him jogging this past week and he did awesome! My youngest son gave chance one of his twin beds, so he now sleeps in his own bed. He is loving that. Thanks again!

Dave

February 3, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Dave!

February 11, 2008 - We tried Ben for a couple hours but he really responded to Dave much better. We seem to think that was his original name.  So Dave is doing great, he is the sweetest dog that will do anything for attention "He loves his head scratched"!  Amy and I so happy we found Ben! He so well trained already and he lives for his daily walk.  We just had a follow up visit to the vet and they managed to clip his nails and gave us some more antibiotics for his ears.  Dave is doing great and we love him very much!  I'll send you some pictures later this week.   Thanks!

March 11, 2008 - Just wanted to give you an update on Dave! He is doing wonderful! He is the most sweetest dog ever...He loves to cuddle and will just plop right on top of you to be close. Nadir and I walk him everyday and he loves to chase squirrels!! Once I find my cord to hook up to  my camera to download onto the computer,  I will send you pictures. I thought about taking him by the pet basket if you were going to be there this Saturday, so you could see him!
Just let me know! And thanks again, we absolutely love him!

February 2, 2009 - Just wanted to give you an update that Dave is still just as awesome and cute as possible! He is the softest and most beautiful coat of hair. People stop me and tell me all the time what a beautiful dog he is. I took him to the vet yesterday and he got a clean bill of health! I walk him everyday and have a mobile pet groomer come every few weeks. Hope all is well with you and your pets!!

Nell

February 2, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Nell!

March 13, 2008 - Nelly is much happier. She still has anxiety when left alone at home. I think it's because someone is around most of the time. She is with someone more often than not. The training class is going well. She is a GREAT student. She is so smart and learns really quick! She sleeps next to me in the bed and is very affectionate with me. With other people and dogs, she greets them shyly. I notice she warms up to women a lot faster than men.   So far so good!

Gabby

February 2, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Gabby!

Justin

February 2, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Justin!

February 7, 2008 - I wanted to give you an update on Cody (formerly known as Justin).  Our family is so blessed to have such a great dog. He is everything anybody could want in a dog, companion and friend. He is fitting in right away and finding a way directly to each of our hearts.  Abby starts training with him tonight and the fence will be repaired and installed on Friday. Until then we are sneaking him to the tennis courts for exercise. Don't turn us in please!

One little story... as I mentioned on adoption day I don't want him on the furniture. Of course, he sleeps with Abby so this makes her bed a little tricky and a very grey area as far as training. Today I simply laid a blanket that he lays on in her room, beside her bed with a toy on it and left it there while I took a shower and such. A little later I couldn't find him went to look and found him in Abby's room. Where was he? Laying on the blanket, not the bed!!! I could not believe it. What a great dog!

Kona

February 2, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Kona!

May 8, 2008 -  "OUR" Kona has been such a pleasure to have. She was perfect for Ryan at his age. He feeds, bathes, plays, and walks her. We don't see her as our dog, she is a family member. Our older son goes to collage at The Citadel, A military collage, and is in Kilo Company. He asked if we could name her "Kilo" so when he is away her name ties her into everything we as a family are involved in. So we named her Kilo. She is so spoiled. Ryan will fill a shopping cart just for her if you let him. We found a great veterinarian, Loving Hands in Alpharetta on hwy 9. They’re awesome!! We registered Ryan as the owner and he is so proud of that. I could on and on. We are going to bring her up to visit for a few minutes on Saturday when you’re in Alpharetta.

Amy and Jo

January 27, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Amy and Jo!

May 18, 2008 - As for the girls, they are doing great.  Amy is about 22 lbs now and JoJo is about 19lbs.  They are getting ready to go to dog training classes in a week or two.  They are loving their big yard and are pretty well behaved (for the most part- they love to chew, ..and chew.. and chew some more).  I also attached a pic from Sunday when we took them to the Braves Game and their Bark in the Park event. They had a blast and the Braves won!

Diesel

January 27, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Diesel!

Oliver

January 24, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Oliver!

June 4, 2008 - I don't recall when I am supposed to send an update on Beau (formerly known as Oliver) but I figured that around six months is a good time. He is doing quite well. He is very sweet and intelligent. He has trained easily. He does not retrieve but will go after the ball if he can get it and make Dak follow him around. He got altered yesterday and hopefully he will recover nicely from that.

We are out in Colorado now and there is still snow in the mountains. We took the boys up to Wolf Creek Pass to let them play in some real snow. Attached are a few pictures.

January 12, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Gracie!

January 13, 2008 -  It is unbelievable how quickly Shelby and Gracie have bonded. Today Shelby was in her room with the door closed and Gracie laid at the door waiting for her to come out. When she did Gracie's tail was going 90 mph.  Earlier in the day Shelby went outside and Gracie jumped up on the door looking for her. She then went to the window and watched her walk up and back down the driveway. She is still a little unsure about Ana and I, but that is to be expected. Just thought I would share this and the photo.

February 12, 2008 - We cannot believe it has been 30 days from today that we adopted Gracie!  Things are going well.  She has settled into our routine and seems to be very happy.  Shelby gave one of her stuffed toys to Gracie and now is Gracie's favorite aka "Baby". What a remarkable change, we have witnessed in
Gracie over this past month. Gracie and Gizmo (Cat) tolerate one another right now. Gracie lives upstairs and Gizmo in the basement, by their own choices. Gracie will not go into the basement, because she knows the beast lives down there. Moreover, what is even funnier is we take her to work with us and she refuses to go into any basement. Gracie loves to ride now. At first, she was scared to death to get in the car. After a few times and she realized she would come home, all you have to do is open the door and she is in and ready.  Attached are two photos the first is Gracie looking down the
basement stairs for the beast and the second is of her on her homemade bed with baby.  Thanks so much and keep up the great work!

Cookie

January 11, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Cookie!

February 27, 2008 - She is WONDERFUL.  She is the calmest lab I've ever seen. Even the vet said she is "one of the most mellow 6 months olds" he has seen.  I exercise her a lot, so I'm sure that helps :)  The kids adore her.  She is so sweet w/them all, even the 2 year old who is constantly all over her.

Shelby

January 8, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Shelby!

January 14. 2008 - Shiner, the former Shelby, has adjusted well to her new home.  She gets along well with our cat and is very happy walking on a leash.  She is very comfortable in her crate and sleeps from around midnight to sunrise.  We have set an appointment for Feb 6th with Roswell Animal Hospital for her next round of shots.  We are so happy to be sharing our home with her.

Darla

January 6, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Darla!

March 14, 2008 - I just wanted you to know she fits in perfectly with our whole gang and loves all of the attention from us and the other dogs. Her favorite thing right now is her fuzzy Easter duckie and chasing the cats around the living room while they chase her back and of course snuggling in mommy's lap a lot or in front of the fireplace on her bed. I have pics just haven't had chance to download to computer yet. I will send asap. Thanks for the blessing we have in Darla she is truly a light in our lives.

Sassy

January 5, 2008 - Happy Gotcha Day, Sassy!

January 9, 2008 - Sassy now named Lily is doing great.  She came in and just immediately fit into our family.  She plays wonderfully with the girls and is completely house trained.  We were worried about her being rough with the cats but it is actually Lily who is a little afraid of them.  She will be going to the vet next week and we plan on signing her up for some training soon.  She is the sweetest dog; we couldn't have picked a better addition for our family.

Thank You!
