Educational Visit at Woodward Academy

In May 2007 we went for an educational visit at the Woodward Academy. Students raised money by reading thousands and thousands of pages and selected Labrador Friends and our dog Brutus as who they wanted their funds to support. The students of the 5th and 6th grade transition classes raised $804.78! We then went to the school, met the students, and talked to them about heartworm disease and treatment, and the importance of giving heartworm preventative medicines to your dogs, especially in Georgia. We also talked in general about why there is such a need for dog rescue in Georgia and what we do to help dogs. The students asked many intelligent questions and needless to say Brutus was a big hit! THANK YOU to all students and teachers from Labrador Friends and Brutus!
Here are some pictures of our adventure. If you are interested in us coming to your school to educate your students just email us at labfriendinfo@gmail.com.
